Franklin, Tennessee – Tennessee Soccer Club (TSC) is excited to welcome Lou Liberatore as Director of Goalkeeping. Liberatore comes to TSC from Orlando, FL, where he spent two years working with Orlando City Youth and the Orlando Pride of the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL).

“I am super excited to be with Tennessee Soccer Club. Hannah and I are extremely excited to be here and live in this growing soccer market,” said Liberatore. “I can’t wait to start working with EV (Eric Vaughter, TSC GK Director) and all of our TSC goalkeepers as we move forward into next year.”

With Orlando City Youth, Liberatore served as Director of Goalkeeping and worked with all players in the club, including the program’s ECNL teams. Liberatore was also the First Team Assistant Goalkeeping Coach for the Orlando Pride of the NWSL in 2019. Liberatore participated in all training sessions with the professional side and was responsible for the performance and continued development of the first team goalkeepers.

Prior to his time in Orlando, Liberatore was both a college and youth coach in Binghamton, NY as the Assistant Men’s Soccer Coach at Binghamton University and as a staff coach with Greater Binghamton United FC from 2014-2016.

As a player, Liberatore played both club and college soccer for TSC Executive Director Stuart Brown. He was a goalkeeper for CASL (now North Carolina FC) when Brown was a Director, and then was recruited by Brown to Belmont Abbey College in North Carolina where he was a four-year standout.

“I’ve known Lou for a very long time and could not be happier to welcome him to our full-time staff,” said Brown. “He is an excellence youth coach and I know he will make an immediate impact with all of our goalkeepers.”

Liberatore has earned his USSF C License, United Soccer Coaches Advanced National GK Diploma and a United Soccer Coaches Advanced National Diploma. He was also named a United Soccer Coaches 30 Under 30 award recipient, an annual award given to 15 male and 15 female coaches from across the United States who are leading the way in developing soccer players and enhancing the game.

Liberatore and his wife, Hannah, have settled in Cool Springs with their dog Millie.
